Odin (Odin3) is Samsungβs internal firmware flashing tool. It flashes official packages (.tar / .tar.md5), custom recoveries, and more while the device is in Download Mode.
Official Odin is Windows-only. Recommended version: Odin3 v3.14.4.
For Linux: use odin4 (modern open-source) or Heimdall.

Note: This site does not host binaries. Install Samsung USB Drivers first. Antivirus may flag Odin (false positive).
Install drivers. Uninstall Kies/Smart Switch if present.
Get firmware for exact model + CSC. Extract BL, AP, CP, CSC .tar.md5 files. Extract Odin and run as Administrator.
Power off β Vol Down + Power (or Vol Down + Vol Up + Power) while connecting USB β Vol Up to confirm.
Odin shows COM port + βAdded!β. Load:
Auto Reboot ON, F. Reset Time ON, Re-Partition OFF, Nand Erase OFF. Click Start. Wait for PASS!
First boot can take several minutes. Do not force restart.
